BSNL Internet and Broadband

BSNL, or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, a public sector enterprise, is one India's oldest and most extensive telecom operators. Being so, it is a well known and widely recognized brand even today when private sector players dominate the market in almost all respects. BSNL offers a range of services besides telephone and mobile services: broadband internet, IP TV, 3G are a few of these.

BSNL Internet comes both as dial up and broadband. BSNL broadband offers a maximum speed of 2mbps, the minimum being, as usual, 256 kbps. Within this, BSNL broadband comes with a range of plans which are gradated on the basis of usage and speed and customers are then charged accordingly. Like most other internet operators, BSNL internet too has downloading limits which, again, are a factor of usage and speed - plan i.e. It goes without saying that those with extensive internet usage should opt for plans with greater downloading limits so as to not bear the brunt of an inflated bill. BSNL broadband is not restricted to fixed line though. BSNL Datacard is an easy to carry, easy to use internet enabler which allows you to access the internet at high speeds in virtually any location in India. You can also view videos on the internet, access youtube and a lot of other entertainment-based websites. However, like fixed line broadband, BSNL Datacard too comes on a gradated basis of usage and speed and downloading limit so customers must keep their specific requirements in mind when buying a BSNL Datacard.

Besides all of this, BSNL also offers 3G services. BSNL 3G plans are compatible with its mobile phone plans; users can, therefore, easily access 3G whether they be customers of postpaid or prepaid. For maximum benefit, BSNL 3G data plans must be chosen with the same care as broadband ones.
